There are many historical references which use about the relationship between man animal.

From Einstein to Twain, from Leonardo to Gandhi,

from philosophers to poets to great scientists,

almost all have expressed the thought that the animals

have rights

not may be unrecognized by man, on pain of barbarism.

I just simply believe

that a nation

be civil even in proportion to how they treat animals.

Italy is not the first, nor the last to do so.

In recent decades, our country has made giant steps

for recognition of the just rights

to be granted to domestic and wild animals.

But much remains to be done .

One of the things that bothers me, when I tour the beautiful country,

is the sight of dogs, cats or other animals killed or wounded on the street.
